Ideal height?

Ceilng is 10 ft. in bedroom that TV is going to be used.

Looking to hang it above desk - trying to figure what optimal height should be for watching if laying in bed.

In before 35.0 inches.

Don't put a TV in your room. Causes sleep issues.

If you must, I have always found that eye level should be the mid point of the TV.

Wall height minus eye level

Divided by 2

That is where you want horizontal screen center

TVs should always be where your eyes are at the bottom third of the screen.

Appreciate the responses.

The mount I am using does have swivel and tilting capabilities, so this may help as well.

Whatever height looks right. You don't have to have OT approval on everything you do.

A wall mounted TV should always be placed at a height according to the following illustration:

The middle of ours is about eye level (I’m 5’11”). And the bed is about 10 feet away. That seems to work fine.

I do a lot of this. Center of the TV should be between 5'6" and 6' above the floor, regardless of ceiling height.

You have to see what the height of your bed is and how big the tv is.

To each his own but that's way too high for my liking.

Sit down in the normal spot you'd watch for that room, and the top of the TV shouldn't be much higher, if at all, than your eye level imo.

I don’t have one in my room but I stay in alot of hotels and I find they are consistently too low. So find out what the Marriott standard is and go a foot higher.

Sit (or if bedroom laydown) where you normally would. Stare at the wall where it is comfortable. That's where you put it.
