I'm sitting on my couch and my eyeballs are maybe like ~3 feet off the ground? Whatever the height is, my eyes are about level with the bottom of my TV and that's perfect. I can't imagine the TV being 3' higher than it is. It'd be a massive inconvenience.

It really wouldn't.

1) How far do you sit back from the TV?
2) You do realize that your eyes can move, right? It's not like you'd have to tilt your head upwards if the TV was a foot higher.

This for sure.

The first house I bought had this crazy nice full wall to ceiling length built on entertainment center, looked great. Only problem was the TV had to go above the fireplace, about 5 foot up.

It was miserable. If you are laying on the couch, the angle is terrible.
