So you didn’t need it. Got it

In the woods? Many many times
In my vehicle? Never had to draw but I've had a couple scenarios in Mobile where I was close with sketchy individuals doing stupid shite too close to my vehicle.

Yep, I have indeed needed mine. It wasn't for a two-leg threat though. Was fly fishing in the Uintas a couple years back and had to fire a couple shots in the air to scare away a moose. Moose, bear and cougar is why I bought the 10mm.

Didn't use it but showed it and was left alone

Thankfully, no. But my stance on this matter is I’d much rather have it on me and not need it, than need it and not have it on me.

Seems like most threats will stop by just showing the gun

Or get you shot. Never show a gun you aren't ready and able to fire.

I have one, carry in my car and on my person. I've never had to pull it, much less use it. And, while I am prepared, I pray the day never comes when I have to.

If I didn’t think I needed it, why would I have it?…

Never had to use my side arm in the service (did use my rifle/SBR and radio frequently…..bringing in CAS is a true rush)
Only pulled my pistol once when I lived in Memphis and somebody tried to mug me late one Sunday night for my Frenchie.

Question for all semi auto carry Baws how often do unload your mags, when you see guns misfeed or jam? After the first shot. I have always been curious about a constantly loaded mags and Spring Fatigue? Anyone have any advice or thoughts on this?

Had a road rage incident where a guy blocked me and got out to have words. I did not have my gun at the time. I quuckly realized he didn't have a weapon and just wanted to intimidate. He was just a typical middle aged upper middle class white guy with a temper. He actually apologized as he backed away and got in his car after I stared at him like he was a psycho for 20 secinds. In any case, I haven't left my gun at home a day since. Never know when it really will be a threat. Never thought I'd see something like that happen, and don't want to find out what it's like when it's a real threat.

Back before Obama crashed the real estate market… we were flipping shitty little ghetto houses. Went into one house as burglars were exiting the back of the house. I drew my weapon but considering my wife and kids were in my running truck in the driveway, I went to them and didn’t go chasing hood rats.
There wasn’t much to take, but they stole the damn stove, microwave, and had destroyed the a/c for copper.

My dad always drilled into my head that you never need a gun until you REALLY NEED a gun.
Also, God made man, and Sam Colt made them equal, or something like that. Pretty sure if he had his druthers, I'd have a machine gun with me at all times.

Like a parachute, PFD, ICBMs and ejection seats.... better to have and never need than to need and not have.

I still haven't even purchased bullets or fired my ruger mark iv light yet and I bought it 6 months ago. Very disappointed in myself

Have one. Lives in my night stand.
Don't really go anywhere besides, work, gym, grocery shopping, church and out to eat once or twice a month
Try to avoid trashy areas

I was followed home after work one night. It was about 1:00 am. Guy blocked my car in. When he saw my gun, he took off.
Will always be grateful for that gun and the boyfriend who bought it and taught me to shoot it.

I would be scared if I had to use it I could get arrested and some left wing judge could put me in jail for a hate crime. But I guess I could also get killed by someone if I don’t protect myself.
