It's a shame you didn't take advantage of the opportunity to learn something.

I noticed that if a male doesn't have a pro female viewpoint he is labeled "bitter". Just an observation.

No, it's not.

Why do you think that finding one example disproves it?

It's like saying (and I am not claiming its this lopsided) that something isn't one sided because you've found the one. The other 99 outcomes out of 100 don't matter.

Custody is slanted in what is in the best interest of the child

Which is assumed to be the mother by default in sole custody cases. Trying to get the child turns into a smear fest by the father. (BTW, the judge was recommended by the evaluator in this case to give Barry custody)

This is an outlier case because it was a situation where a super rich woman had a joint custody agreement in place which she tried to break. I suspect the latter part was a big part of the reason.

This doesn't mean that things are not slanted among average income individuals seeking judgement on initial custody.

I noticed a lot of butthurt pussies yapping about da law when it's actually societal norms and tendencies that lead to these allegedly "pro-women" outcomes

buncha dummies don't know about causation and correlation

Not my fault. Prolly the same reason they made shitty decisions about who to marry.

You can't make this statement before seeing what the average child support payments are for male celebrities with >60M net worth.

Any response?

Kids are so awesome. If I had a divorce all I would want would be the child.

But in our court, whoever wins the child ALSO gets free money. It's absurd! Have friends paying $1800/month for one kid. The payments are criminal! If you win custody there is no reason to work, any income gets used against you.

Then they use your gross income as if you have no taxes or living expenses. The whole system needs to DIAF.

my sister is divorced, makes more than her ex, 50/50 joint custody... He pays her $800/month.

Well you could put me in that group of dummies too I guess. When I married her, I truly didn't know it was a bad decision. I just knew that I loved her and thought she was amazing. Then I came home from work on a Thursday and she was gone. Not sure what I could have done to see that coming. But you seem to know a lot.

Yet courts for the most part think that, as long as the mom is stable, being with her is in the kid's best interest. Even today, men are more often bread winners so that works against them when it comes to spousal support. At first glance the law seems objective but societal norms/tendencies most often lead to the same result: Mom with custody and dad paying child support, and spousal support. it is what it is.

This is the best explanation in the whole thread.

Did I choose an outlier case to make a larger point? Sure.

The law is written how the law is written. There is no reference to gender. How people live and the gender roles in most families is what determines these outcomes.

That was the whole point of the thread. All the butthurt and downvotes and ad hominems were just a bonus
