Barbasol Soothing Aloe shave cream. I had the same problem before this. I also use cheap razors now as I only shave my neck due to growing a man beard. I have had zero ingrown hairs/razor burn. I used to get it all of the time.

I shave in the shower, no gel just hot water. No bumps, no muss, no fuss.

I really want to try shaving that way, but I'm just too scared. I have pretty sensitive skin on my face, same problems as the OP. ingrown hairs and burn. Not so much bumps.

At first I thought the same way until I tried it. Honestly, it is no more "dangerous" than any other razor. I got a Merkur DE safety razor, use Prosaro shaving soap, and feather blades. Do some research.
Never have had an ingrown hair/bump since I have been using this setup. Once you learn it, you will wonder why in the hell you didn't make the switch earlier.

Well, I'm not black so I don't get "razor bumps"...

My buddy back home got electrolysis on his neck because he would get 'bumps' really bad.

A barber told me this trick years ago and it works for me. Use cold water to rinse your blade between strokes.

I use barbasol Aloe and a cheap gillete disposable razor.

Grow a beard like a man. Buy an electric trimmer, keep it neat looking. I dont think I've bought a new pack of razors in the last 2 years.

shave in the shower, brah. I use an electric razor before getting in the shower to trim things down and then just hot water and a little soap in the shower.

Pre-shave powder was what I used when using the old rotary shavers. Still, unless you use a razor, bumps are inevitable....
I also use a tip of a razor blade to lift the hair out of a bump, then proactive cream to dry it up quickly. Works for me.

I switched at 28. Didn't want old man flesh too early.
