Had an interesting encounter with some urban youths last night

Last night I was driving around the Lenox Mall area and at the light at Lenox and Peachtree there was a group of about 6 or so UY's standing in the middle of the road. They had to have been around 14-15 years old or so. They were holding a bunch of water bottles and approaching people's cars trying to sell them.
My windows were already rolled down so I didn't really have time to roll them up unnoticed (mistake on my part). On cue, a couple of the UY's approached my car as I came to a stop at the light.
One of them asked me if I'd like to buy some water. I was like "nah I'm good but thanks." He then asked me how fast my car goes, to which I responded "bout tree fiddy." The UY responded "mane I doubt yo bitch arse go that fast."
The light then turned green so I said, "gotta go, you fellas stay safe!" Instead of saying "thanks!" the one UY took the water bottle he had in his hand and spiked it right at my face. I was too shocked to really react so I just drove away.
I don't understand what predisposes these kids to act like this.
The water bottle was sealed and somewhat cool so I ended up drinking it

You took the high road
The UY took the bus.
The UY took the bus.

Youth is both the singular and plural form of this word

Your dammed if don't, dammed if you do in thes situations. Taking the L and letting him bask in his short lived glory was obviously the best choice you could have made.

Most probably a ploy to get you to stop your car get out and engage. Once you did that your car may have been stolen.

I had a middle aged black guy walk up to my face and scream “something something, the n word “while I was on a phone call twice. I just ignored the fricker but he definitely was trying to start shite.

I simply ignore these people. As in pretend they don't exist. These yutes lose focus very quickly and will turn their attention to something else when they're ignored.

You don’t?
Being immersed in violence, hate, and dysfunctional home life, as well as having violence and hate pumped into their heads through the music they listen to might shed some light onto this. Now, when that’s all you see around you every day, all day, it’s quite normal and to be expected. If they aren’t like that, they are the victims of their surrounding.

Mace and tasers teach people lessons if they put you in fear.
