if you can't go through the entire range of motion, drop some weight..

..and don't go through one set and then add more weight like you're accopmlishing something.

:smh:

I never let the bar touch my chest. In fact, I only do partial reps every time I bench with a barbell.

It's hard not to critic other's form when they are on the bench next to yours.

I knew a guy who would bounce the bar off his chest to get some momentum. One time he bounced too hard and cracked his sternum.

I'll do a half rep if I want. It rounds up anyways

Just had a huge thread on this exact topic last week...and half reps can be useful. Though Im sure most people doing half reps are just trying to push more weight than they should.

Maybe you should tell him. I know I would like to know if I'm doing it wrong.

Bench press is a pretty useless exercise anyway unless you are a body builder.

I don't go through a full range of motion due a previous shoulder injury. So yeah, keep your advice to yourself.
