My wife takes pictures of the kids before leaving the house to have a professional photographer take pictures of the kids

I spend most of my life gathering kids for pictures. When I'm not doing that, I'm finding her phone for her to take pictures. Or I'm selecting the photos that she took with my phone so that I can text them to her phone.

I give death stares to kind people who offer to take a picture of us. I wasn't always this way. Don't become like me.

You would never know I'm at family events since most pics are of the wife and kids together

You’re a rare one then

I doubt that’s rare at all. It’s certainly the case in my family.

The best use of photos I have seen recently, unfortunately, has been photo displays (on a viewer or tv) at funeral services for the deceased of family or notable life events.

I’ve been the photographer waaaaay more than the photographed. I went on a boat outing with my.sister , we both had cameras. I took a zillion photos of her, also of the swamp, the gators, the birds . She was smiling at the camera, happy to be in shots, well aware of being photographed . After a couple of hours I realized she had never once turned her camera towards me, but had taken only photos of the scenery and animals. That’s fine, but I deleted every photo of her I had taken that day. She knew I was a combination hurt/pissed, and didn’t dare ask to see them.
Most people do like to feel like they were present at an outing, on a vacation, at an event. So include everyone.. if you take pics of your wife, husband, parents, kids, friend, or their kid or dog, just send them the photos in an email, (then delete from your storage any you don’t want to keep). It costs nothing and is a nice thing to do, takes zero effort, and there is literally a camera in your hand.

JFC, the butthurt is palpable with this one.

Not to mention petty. If you give only to receive then you’re doing it for the wrong reasons.

You know, you’re right, that did come off as petty and butthurt…but there is a lot of history there not in the post. We’re sisters, and for the most part best friends….but…..

Any time we do anything with my wife’s sister and her family, which is a lot during the summer, her sister always posts a bunch of pics on fb from the weekend. I am consistently left out. Some albums will have 25-30 pics and not one with me in it.

Maybe people don’t like you either.

This isn't hard. "Take a picture" means take 17 pictures so I can find the most fake shite and post it. A couple asked me to take pictures of them in Paris, and I took maybe 11 shots moving around, getting the camera up for angles, etc. The chick said, "I can tell you're married, you know how to take pictures."

Women communicate differently than men. When your wife hints/asks you to take more pictures of her, that’s about as clear communication as you’re going to get. Listen to her, and take more pictures of her.

Asking you to do it is as direct as it gets.

wife will ask why I didn’t take more photos while at an event. But in the next breath ask why I was on my phone at the event.

If you think you can ever win, you wrong.
