she gets a long weekend with that BBC, and he gets a ski weekend with his boys. Win Win.

where is this ski trip located? There is quite a difference in Aspen, steamboat/colorado springs, Lake Tahoe, than places like red river or some other places

Sounds like a lose-lose situation.

Although, you live with your wife all the time, so I would lean towards staying with her over friends.

Go on the trip. She wont divorce you for it......but she might get some side dick just out of spite. You get some side action to just to even shite out. Win win all around. Glad I could help.

My ex-wife would have said: "Just do whatever you want!"

I knew that wasn't permission, it was a dare.

He should just cry a lot. Get the waterworks going and he'll get what he wants. That's what I've heard at least.

Tell him to go for it, then go over to comfort his wife and bring a birthday card showing you'd never forget a thing like that

Who makes the chunk of the money in the marriage. If he does, buy her something nice prior and hit the ski slopes with the guys!

If she isn't cool enough to let you go have fun with your friends every once and a while, then she isn't worth being married to anyway.

Option A - Tell her about the trip, but that you declined because it was her birthday. Her reaction will tell you what to do

Option B - Lie down between TigerFred and Rummy and pretend you're skiing

I would talk to her like an adult. If she is half way reasonable, she will understand. Get her a nice gift and take her out before you leave for the trip.

My wife would be fine with it. I would certainly be sure to do something nice for her birthday the weekend before or after, be sure to call her on her birthday, and probably have a present delivered on her actual birthday. After that, I'd certainly be safe to go.
