That's great and all but a quick email to Chicken could verify it.

Regarding the natural reaction of some that posted above that they are skeptical, I think it would be best for you to post the obituary link when it is available. I know that is a lot to process right now, but just trying to help you out in regards to what you are asking for to help convince those that are skeptical.

Sorry to hear about this. I don't know you from Adam, but no family should have to go through that kind of loss. You and your children will be in my prayers.

ETA
If you're able to get your GoFundMe set up, I will donate to help you out. Just update your OP w/a link if you get one set up.

In the meantime, love the hell out of those kids. Especially if they're young. As lost and confused as you are, they are likely more post and confused and looking to you. You don't have to try and make them understand, just love them. I can't imagine the emotions you're feeling, but just know, they need you more than ever and eventually, things will get better. Stay strong brother.

Are there any symptoms when a blood clot breaks off and gets stuck or do you drop dead?

Bro, I’m so sorry. I don’t know how I would be able to move on other than living so my kids didn’t lose both their parents.

Once you get the go fund me set up, let us know and I will donate.

This is a PSA for everyone else, death can happen to any of us at any time no matter your health. If you have a family and people who rely on you, buy some life insurance so you don’t have to go through what this poor man is going through and your family is protected.

depends on where it goes. Some people can live with them for months. Usually, it's chest pressure and SOB with a feeling of impending doom.

I wont even pretend to understand what you're going through. I can't even imagine.

But I will say this.......as a parent and father, what you're going through, imagine what your kids are going through as well......and then imagine them having NO ONE there for them.

You do whatever you need to do to keep your head in the game to be the parent your kids need you to be right now, more than ever........prayers, and good luck.

A pulmonary embolus after a leg procedure can happen quickly unfortunately. Shortness of breath is a symptom. My mentor colleague passed that way.

That's what I was going to say. Just do what you have to do for them. Picture life in their eyes. Even if you don't want to keep going.

Did y’all go to church? Most church members will contribute if this is all true. I’m cynical, I’d hope someone wouldn’t make this up, just to pay for Christmas or taxes, etc. it would help some people here to see some proof rather than give a stranger money over the internet.

If true get a lawyer and gather all the medical files/bills. You could likely settle with the hospital/doctor.

Extremely sorry to read this and will pray for you.

You’ve posted for a while and provided a personal email. Not dispositive by any stretch, but I tend to think this is real. You should follow the simple instructions posted for the go fund me and then link it here. That shouldn’t be done by an anonymous stranger in the internet.

In addition to asking for financial assistance through go fund me, please seek out emotional support in person from someone trained in providing it. Your loss is enormous and accepting help is a sign of wisdom, not weakness.

You’ll definitely be in my prayers. Make sure you contact an attorney in case there may have been medical malpractice. I’m sorry for your loss.

Man, my heart goes out to you brother. I can't imagine what you are going through.

I know its a really tough time for you, but please, for your kids, do not do anything harmful to yourself. They need you. Do not make them have to deal with the death of two parents.
