OP posted a few weeks ago asking for help about the surgery LINK
A search on Facebook shows a post from her sister from yesterday confirming the death and the story (and not asking for money) and everyone replying sorry and sending prayers and hugs
For it to be a scam it would be pretty well thought out and evil

..if this is a scam, let this be a lesson for those that fell for it. If it isn't a scam, then I am glad the users of TD were able to step up for a good cause.

The sister has a link to a GoFundMe for an autopsy.

I didn't know autopsies cost the family of the deceased money. Kind of messed up. Seems like that info would be wanted by the state and possibly other agencies in most cases.

My wife's first cousin dropped dead alone in his apartment at the age of 50 with no apparent cause. The family had to pay for the autopsy.

This may all be completely legit and I feel for the family if true, but saying that a hospital sent her home when she couldn't wake up from anesthesia seems unbelievable.
