I wish they would hire me just to wait outside to shoot ‘em when they come out.

While I agree with the sentiment, if the store doesn’t care much about their products to keep people from stealing them, why should I risk my life to do so?

The day I risk my life for a liberal mega corporation, if anything, I’ll just encourage him. The CO liberals voted for this, they can deal with the repercussions.

My favorite part of these videos is how outraged the thieves get that anyone is trying to stop them. As if the people stopping them from stealing are in the wrong.

I agree, but moving past emotion, if someone were to do something, then that fricking cretin would sue the shite out of them via a Morris Bart / Contingency Fee lawsuit and ruin them.

It sucks, and this country needs tort reform in a bad way. Nothing would make me happier than that a-hole getting beaten by a mob of good samaritans but the world we live in makes it impossible without being financially ruined.

It baffles me that someone can watch that video and think that what the country needs is tort reform to fix theft. I mean, it does need tort reform, but... How about prison time for thieves?

My response was to the poster wondering why someone didn't "do something" and my point is ordinary people don't want to be sued out of existence for trying to stop a crackhead from stealing Tide.

I agree with you, throw the sorry bastard in jail, but in the liberal utopias that doesn't happen, or in red states with Soros DA's either for that matter.

while true, we're all paying for it via higher prices. I'm hoping more honest people get fed up enough to intervene. And I hope that intervention is killing the thieves who are stealing. I want modern day lunch mobs killing the crooks in the store or parking lot. It would be glorious. And kill any POS that tries to intervene on belaf of or help the thief.

Slash the tires on their getaway car. People always stand around filming the car with no license plate and the cops aren't gonna do anything anyway.

But if you slash their tires that car ain't going anywhere. The cops and store security will be forced to deal with the issue and the thiefs will be left with a choice - abandon their vehicle and run off with two jugs of laundry detergent as compensation or stay there and face the consequences.

They use them to trade/sell with local small businesses for drug money. They pay less than wholesale reaping bigger profits.

What's the point of having security that can't stop a crime? Might as well save that money to replace the stolen stuff.

They are already saving money. Those security guards make $10 an hour. Why would they risk themselves for $10 an hour?

i think its the only thing that solves this. thieves have zero fear of being caught because the laws in place are toothless. t

My now late brother-in-law was a drug addict and got caught trying to steal a ham from a supermarket here in N.O. over 30 years ago. He got arrested and spent damn near 90 days in jail awaiting the outcome-----which was a judgement of time served and being released. But he at least got 90 days to think about what he did.

Today, they don't even try to hide the fact they are stealing and load up carts to walk right out the front doors. fricking insane.

I've got two kids at home. I'm not taking the chance of catching a bullet from a drug addict to save a store a container of Tide pods.
