I saw a guy stealing that here I live. What’s up with this?

A few years ago they had issues with Tide laundry detergent used as currency in drug deals instead of cash.

Put him on the ground and cuff him !

I was in a Safeway in Seattle not long ago, they lock up the Tide Balls with the liquor and cigarettes to keep the freaks from stealing it

people say violence isnt worth it but personally i think its the only thing that solves this. thieves have zero fear of being caught because the laws in place are toothless. they should fear becoming toothless themselves and if it escalates it escalates.

Which is really, really strange. If you've seen many drug addicts, most of them don't seem to be worried about wearing clean clothes.

The entire detergent section at Target in Minneapolis was behind lock and key, crazy

So why detergent is the perfect currency for them, no need to waste any on themselves.

I haven’t seen mention of this since a certain teabagging incident.

He was hoping for a clean getaway

Surely that scrawny odd looking shoplifter is known once the photos are posted. Most who are that scrawny couldn't survive a Colorado winter.

In their world, Tide is a solid commodity and much easier to steal and carry than a 55” TV. Definitely used to buy crack in lieu of cash.
$25 Tide will get them $5 crack rock.

Not a 5.0, just a 2.5. I don’t believe a senior with a pony tail takes down crackhead strength

Billy club to the knee cap..... at least it would slow him down for the next time he tries to steal.

Makes me angry. People just standing there watching. Do something!
What's the point of having security that can't stop a crime? Might as well save that money to replace the stolen stuff.

Why even rent him if he can't or wont do anything? Its a literal waste of money while you're already losing product either way.
