That looked like a replay of the Michael Brown situation. Gentle giant just had his hands up and was shot for no reason.

This is the OT man. People defend carjackers and arsonists all the time.

Even in Seattle, I'd say you could easily make the case that he reasonably felt his life was in danger castle doctrine or not.

Like I said, they may be able to charge him with other things, but attempted murder shouldn't be one of them.

Of course, that won't stop them from trying.

CNN will adjust the brightness and contrast until he is white enough

My honest assessment of the video is we need more info to really ascertain what lead to the confrontation. The car was already being chased by a group of people when the video picks it up. Why? We don't know. The guy that was shot joined the chase late into it.

After viewing it a few more times, I don't think that particular street was closed. There were people in the street, but pretty close to the sidewalks. It does appear the street he was driving towards was closed, but just basing that on the number of people in that intersection.

Just watching the video, I think the black guy's intentions of stopping him were genuine. I also don't have a problem saying the driver shot in him in self defense. The question I have, that the video doesn't answer, is what lead him to being chased by people in the beginning of the video? The answer to that would likely clear up a lot of confusion.

I can't believe there are people on here defending a f**king carjacker.

You think that guy was trying to steal his car? Would've been a pretty slow getaway with that crowd blocking the street.

Oh, they were genuine all right. Just not in the way you seem to think.

So, he genuinely wanted to assault the guy? Does it make a difference?

Seriously? They have done this to any car that passes by during this BS. There are tons of videos of the rioters doing this and destroying cars. Some of the cars destroyed were even supporters of theirs.

I mean when I genuinely want to stop someone my first course of action is to chase them down the street then reach into their window and physically try to drag them out of their vehicle. Seems like a perfectly normal course of action.

Yup. We really can't tell what exactly is happening here just from the clip.

How many concealed carry/everyday carry weapons have you seen with an extended mag and the standard mag taped jungle style to the bottom? Just so happens to have that when driving into a crowd he knew would be there? C'mon man

What’s your point? Are you insinuating he wanted to do mass harm? He only fired one shot.

I took a wrong turn in the quarter once and had to cross Bourbon to get back to where I was going. I got the response I expected, which was the huge crowd on the street causally moving out of the way so I could cross.

At the very least, can we stop pretending these "crowds" are normal?

Yet he fired one shot in a target-rich environment. That one shot was fired only when he felt threatened. The magazines taped together is irrelevant.
