The most vocal of the OT does not understand gray. It's either black or white or all or nothing. Subtlety isn't a strong suit here.

of course they were...and I believe the driver of the car genuinely feared for his life

Pretty sure that crowd felt their life was in danger. He was speeding up as if he was about to drive through the crowd.
The don't walk in the street or step in front of him.
That cannot be said when someone is throwing punches at me.

Has there been any more info released about this? Why did he flee the scene? Has he turned himself in? If he was afraid for his life I don’t think getting out of the car and walking straight into protesters is such a great idea.

He was placed under arrest. That's all the information I've seen so far.

I mean when I genuinely want to stop someone my first course of action is to chase them down the street then reach into their window and physically try to drag them out of their vehicle. Seems like a perfectly normal course of action.
I didn't say it was a normal course of action. I said I think his actions to intervene was his genuinely trying to stop the car before it reached an intersection crowded with people. It's possible he completely misread the situation, but I don't think he just wanted to rough someone up, or "carjack" someone.

You drive a car into a crowd and don't expect some response from bystanders?
Roads are for cars...sidewalks are for people.

He just shot a member of an angry mob. Would you stay to wait for the cops?

True. George Zimmerman wasn't white and we all saw his ethnicity magically change.

Yeah, I agree. I even said I think he has a genuine self defense argument.

No but I wouldn’t get out of my car and just walk straight into the protesters. I’d be hauling arse out of there in my car

The magazines taped together along with the mustache speak to his mindset. He's a weirdo. I'd really like to see what his sweatshirt says.

People do all sorts of irrational stuff during an adrenaline dump

Did you eat paint chips as a kid?“ The scene” was a Riot. He would have had to shoot people until he ran out of ammo and then been overwhelmed, or they would have killed him. They had broken his windows already, probably would have set it on fire.
He had the tiny window of upper hand when the rioters were scared of someone who could actually fight back and used that to escape to safety.

What’s your point? Are you insinuating he wanted to do mass harm? He only fired one shot.

Or the people could get out of the street

Another one that likes to read into the future.

Have we discussed the guy that is not giving up on physically restraining the vehicle with a piece of plastic or wood from the street?

This is completely irrelevant and would never hold up in any court beyond the court of public opinion
