Not quite a boomer, but old (and wise) enough to see what’s happening with my own eyes. It’s not hard to comprehend if you pay attention. Examples of urban decay and sprawl actually being reversed on a broad scale are rare. It only grows.

You clowns need to pool your money together and try to get Montgomery's mayor to come over and straighten shite out over there. That dude is woke but knows where the based butter is on the biscuit.

Mid 90’s…did it all the time. Would stagger all the way back to Sharlo Town Holmes at 2:00AM. What are your chances of surviving that now???

By the time he's shooting, the white car is completely gone. At that point, he's just slinging lead toward the buildings on the other side of the street. Total disregard for his actions.

A good bike trail and some of the mayor’s BBQs should help alleviate this violence.

Same. I lived on Alvin Dark in the 90s.

The white car has frick all to do with it except the fact that he drove through. Dude was shooting at the black Tahoe at the store. Watch the back glass shatter.

I now see that in the WAFB video. Thanks for the clarification.

Had to expand video but yes there is someone in orange shirt behind that vehicle that he is shooting at. Then orange shirt jumps from behind vehicle and shoots back and that is why he runs off

Doesn’t appear anyone was hit in that video. So there’s about a 0% chance this is the end of it.

There will be another battle soon. Probably within the next week or two. Someone will die. Hopefully a criminal and not an innocent bystander.

I'd assume both of them live in Tigerland. Who else would be at that gas station at 9:00?

When will the powers at LSU say enough is enough and start holding the current administration’s feet to the fire. Just good ole shoot out 100 yards from LSU property and main roads to campus. It’s gotten completely out of hand and LSU will start

I've said before that I think the only thing that would really make them pay attention is if LSU fans get mad enough about this to stop giving to the football program.

Yes, this has nothing to do with football, but football is the biggest moneymaker for the school and anything that threatens to dry up that gravy train would get people to take notice.

Football is a huge moneymaker for BR, in general. We are season ticket holders and host a huge tailgate for all home games. This is money going into grocery stores/caterers and hiring bartenders & setup/tear down people.

Half the people in our tailgate group are from at least an hour away. These are people spending the weekend in BR and dropping their money here. Dinner on Friday night, merch for the kids, etc. The allure of LSU sports is that it's supposed to be a very family friendly weekend.

They will not keep traveling here if it's not safe for their families.

Supposedly this stemmed from a debate over who was the better playwright: William Shakespeare or Anton Chekhov.
