The left has basically come out and said this is exactly why they are doing it

Basic economics is like quantum mechanics to them apparently

Why would they show up???... most of these companies have purposely stagnated wages for years... I’m not for a mandated 15 minimum wage... but some of these companies wages have just been unfair like it or not...

I interview and hire people a fair amount and I will likely toss resumes in the trash if they have a gap in employment in Spring/Summer of 2021.

By now it's obvious what this administration is doing: We now have to outspend this White House to get people back to work. This is how you force employers to raise wages if states won't raise minimum wage.

I don't like to use the word "never" but we are a long, long ways away.

I can see a lot of these menial jobs getting automated eventually, and all we have is higher-thinking and higher-skill jobs. And the people of our society who are not smart... there isn't going to be anything for them to do.

I've been so busy working with the clients who still work... haven't traveled much or done much. Here there are a few companies who are hiring... but it's nothing like I saw this weekend.

But yeah, I haven't gone out much that's true.

a basic income check,

This is unemployment, not basic income.

Basic income wouldn't be contingent on someone not working.

Holy shite, that place is sketchy. Went there with a friend who was chasing a bartender that left a downtown establishment...we were out of place to say the least. One beer, cash, GtFO.

If they raise wages - which is probably what the feds want - prices will go up.

If they cut back services, ultimately that hurts the business as their volume will collapse.

Home Depot, Target, Publix, Kroger, and several restaurants all near my house all have big HELP WANTED/NEEDED signs by the front entrance.

I couldn't get anyone to help me in Home Depot the other day and they said they are down half their employees.

There was a murder there at 4am yesterday. We stopped there one time after leaving downtown because we weren't ready to call it a night and the cop posted up outside told us it wasn't a good idea to go inside. Sounds like he was right

Dems say otherwise, and as long as they control the votes we can't do shite about it, except for the one thing we're too afraid to do.
