I finally stopped tipping unless I’m sitting down eating at a restaurant with a waiter/waitress. I felt guilty the first several times but after that I stopped giving a frick. They won’t do anything to your food the next time you’re there because there’s enough people and cameras around that would catch it. And the likelihood they remember you is very small. Regardless of what they say about “we remember non-tippers” bullshite

These threads are always so odd. Tip or don't tip. Who cares? But virtue signaling being a cheapskate?

You’re viewed as Hitler if you don’t tip takeout now. A lot of “servers” care

No doubt the staff see about 25% of that tip money.

Sonic has the tip option on the menu/order screen, if you swipe your credit card.

Also, Ruffinos tip for pickup orders starts at 25%. I don mind paying a waiter that much, but not the dude that puts the food in a styrofoam box.

PS. I’m cheap

I tipped 20% at Subway today because they made my sandwich to my exact specifications without me having to repeat myself
Subway is one of the few places I don't mind this because you actually watch them put it together.

Wrong on the former, correct on the latter.

You have to feel guilt for it to be considered "guilt tipping". I do not feel guilty at all when I select no tip.

That's because you're in a wheelchair. You get a free pass. Hell, you have fast food workers trying to tip YOUR dumb arse.

I've noticed Starbucks, Smoothie King, Five Guys, Subway, Firehouse Subs and Jersey Mike's ask for tips now when paying with a card.

Which means, plan ahead, and bring cash to those joints.

find the restaurant Five Guys Burgers and Fries to be quite delicious.

They are totally delicious. This board is dumb to say otherwise. But they are overpriced.

Their burgers can be quite good, but their fries absolutely suck. They could do so much better with a thinner fry that isn't greasy.
They suck so badly, that we don't even order them anymore when we get their burgers.

We'll be asked to tip at gas stations in a few years.

Download the app and pay online. All you have to do then is either tell them your name or order code. You get your bag and drive off. In most instances the app even offers better deals.

“Okay, it’s gonna ask you a question.” Thanks, Breighdyn, for the suspense. I had no idea what was coming.

Asked for a minute to look at Panera menu the other day. When I let her know I was ready when she was, she asked me to wait. Pull up to the closed limo tint window with a tip box sitting front and center.

Our go-to BBQ joint is a gauntlet. Tip jar mounted outside window, “tips are like hugs…” such and such signs posted, then physical signature on receipt while they stand in open window.

Sorry you're poor.

Cane's box $11.64. Fast service and they never ask for tips.
