In Cincinnati now and just had better wings than I can remember in Nashville. Knock Back Nat's for the record.

I have made up my mind. It's convenient for me to say it's the south for this thread.

I have plenty of travel miles over the years, thanks. And that's why I can say for a fact that Nashville's food scene sucks.

Mitch Landrieu. New Orleans can’t be the best at anything.

Lafayette is not Top 10 and Lafayette is good
Houston and Nashville should be 3 and 4 imo

Charleston has a great reputation for food and it is a neat place in so many respects. I really like the town.
But I've eaten at probably ten different restaurants there (just went where the locals at my old job's HQ's said to try) and the most noteworthy thing about it is how underwhelming they've been.
The most memorable thing from Charleston was the corn bread at Edmunds Oast. And since I just discovered jalapeno cornbread from HEB, I don't even miss that anymore.
Houston is way ahead of Charleston as a food city. Really no comparison IMO.

Houston not being on this list is pretty silly.

My guess was Charleston
At least you’re still more likely to survive a visit to Charleston.

The same publication that named L'Opossum the best restaurant in the South for 2018? Because I wholeheartedly agree.

Not sure if you are trolling or not, but a lot of people and publications that I respect note that Nashville has come a long ways in the last 10 years and does have a very respectable food scene.

Then you’re a moron.
Go enjoy your La Fonda and Judice Inn and keep thinking you have a good food scene.

Austin is 40% larger than Nashville. Not really similar sizes.

Not trolling. Funny how not one person in this thread named any specific food / restaurant in Nashville that they absolutely love (hot chicken does not count). Because its all the same and you can get the food anywhere.
And to your other comment, everybody is on the "Nashville is the IT city" bandwagon and so are the food critics.

Nashville's food scene sucks arse and is full of democratic trash.... the only redeeming thing about Nashville today is the fact Brentwood is only 20 miles south
