Hard to. New Orleans' food like everything else about the place sucks.

I’m aware. The guy asked for recs. I gave him recs. I also said do not go to Husk. Douche.

I'm the guy asking for recommendations. I replied with that they are (originally) Charleston restaurants because obviously I'd like to go somewhere else.

Well then I’m clearly not good at paying attention to detail. My apologies.

My time in Nashville was limited, so I didn’t get to go everywhere I wanted. But Marche is a really great breakfast spot. Highly recommend. If you’re a fan of coffee there are a number of great places, including Barista Parlor.

NOLA's food is one of its few redeeming qualities.

Dude ate at pizza place on Bourbon Street, stood in line at ACME and Mother’s, and had Brunch At Court of Two Sisters and now hates Nola cuisine. Really did his research.

You are 114 miles from the best seafood on the Gulf Coast.

I still say lafayette is better on average than NOLA

As someone who lived in New Orleans for the past ~5 years and moved to Lafayette recently this is laughable.

There are a few good spots in Lafayette that would compare to New Orleans spots, but for the most part the Lafayette restaurant scene is lacking. Maybe I’m too harsh coming from New Orleans, and I realize that Lafayette is a much smaller city, but it’s been disappointing.

Houston has a legit food scene, but Texas = not the south

It took more than half a day for anyone to bite. I'm terrible at this.

foodie town

Just about every mid to large sized southern city has a trendy foodie scene. Memphis and Jackson are certainly no exception. That's what a lot of the indie-bro-bating morons in this thread don't know.

This poll is shite, it's not about southern food, or even food in general.

Yeah, it's always easy to spot the people who haven't been to Memphis in 10-15 years on this board.
