Only place in America like this. When someone asks you where you went to school, they don’t mean college.

People can’t be proud of their Alma mater? I for one went to the best high school in New Orleans. I don’t even need to say the name because everybody already knows and will be downvoting me because of it.

It’s a good way to find out if you have mutual friends and make a connection.

Inaugural year of Ellender Memorial High School in the house…dodging race riots in the cane fields and losing every damn game checking in.

It happens in Baton Rouge too.

It’s a way to connect with people. We all know other people who went to other high schools. So we ask. The follow up is usually, “Do you know [fill in the blank]?”

Then we might have a couple of beers, maybe we frick, maybe we just suck each others dicks. It’s all about comradery and team building. The number one rule is … it’s not gay unless you liked it.

Try it. Do some team building with your coworkers.

No way. Probably many "small" large cities.

Marion Abramsom was born on August 29, 1905

No, I didn’t go there. I wanted to but I was too white.

It's akin to saying what neighborhood you grew up in. Just a way to get a feel for someone based on their history.

1-Where'd you go to school?
2- Who are your parents?
3- Where do you go to church?

This is what people ask when they're trying to pigeonhole you.
