This isn’t indicative of quality, it’s the species of the plant.

Trichome/resin head/"crystals" ripeness is equally as important as sativa/indica ratio. You pull anything early, it will give you the more clear headed high. Even a 100% indica. Conversely pushing a sativa dominant to extreme ripeness will leave you couch locked af, after soaring through the stratosphere. I very much view this as a quality related issue.

Quick recap, the exact same plant harvested at different intervals will in fact produce different effects in high.

Price has dropped dramatically here. They need to do the same with Coke and heroin to get these people from fricking stealing to support their habit

They're so swamped with pot in Oregon they can't hardly give it away.

Not quite true. Lots of places are still charging a premium but they won't last long.

People whom got in the business though are about to lose it all.

Too many growers but I like it.

Means little to me. My body reacts to certain strains and I mostly smoke those.

Gorilla glue #4 is my go to. Typically between 18-22% thc but it sends me to the moon Alice.

Black market is not cheaper

I pay $100 including tax for an ounce of top shelf on recreational appreciation day. Most dispensaries have RAD day once a month. Even cheaper if you have a med card.

One ounce limit is correct for Rec purchases in CO but I have a medical license and a large plant count license so I can buy up to 1/2 lb. if needed. I mainly do edibles tinctures and concentrates. It's around $80 for an ounce now, medically.

A zip of some ordinary purp is going for $280 on a hookup

if you watch the sales, you can find zips for $200 or less at dispensaries.

my friend that sells on the grey market, sells $35/8th / 250 / zip. He grows nice strains, including a haze.

I have gotten top shelf for $125/zip. It was alien rock candy. Not my favorite strain (tahoe OG is my fav) but its my 2nd. The batch i bought tested at 29% THC.

That was a special sale though.

Well, botany/horticulture is a science... and science ain't all that simple. Luckily the consumers are. But end of the day, growing elite marijuana is more nuanced than connoisseur level wine making. It's just most people care about the turnover and stuffing $$$ in their pockets.

Not really, some folks are going to lose a lot for getting involved.

Eta...for others their costs are the same yet pot is sold for less.

Yeah, when it first started people were saying frick the State places and going back to their dealers. The state run places were very expensive.

People said it would have to come down, or state run places would end up shutting down. No one is paying double to triple, what they were buying and smoking before
