I fear that, in 200 years there will be two Religions in the world. One will be Islam. The other will be a pagan Earth Mother religion.

I don’t consider this a strange thread. I file this under informative.

I’m linking multiple pubmed research articles. It’s not my fault people aren’t reading the studies.

As for the other threads - those aren’t strange, just ahead for a bit.

And we do absorb energy. Are you retarded?

Yes. From food, anaerobic processes, etc. I guess you can say that we do build up static charges, but those are equalized whenever we touch our car door handle, etc. We do not build up "energy imbalances" because we wear shoes.

You can test the pH of water. It isn't quakery realizing some water like Dasani is highly acidic.

I personally haven't tried it, but am familiar with it through a fairly popular fitness blogger / podcaster, Ben Greenfield. He's an active endurance athlete and bio-hacker who experiments with all manner of things (from hardware like grounding mats to supplements, herbs, SARMS/peptides, entheogens, etc. to working with chi or using yoga for building strength, and so on). He's a pretty good interviewer and often has interesting guests... worth checking out.

Back to grounding: Here's a sleep related article from his site... the grounding part is somewhat far down the page as point #4 of his 4 Biohacks for Better Sleep. But he seems to be a strong advocate, and claims that some Tour De France cyclists use grounding mats to enhance recovery. Here's the article:

If grounding is so good, why did people who basically lived without shoes only have a life expectancy of 20 to 30 years?

Adopt Western civilization and shoes and you too have the potential to live to 60 or 70 years.

The "science" of grounding. Just saying a peer reviewed study does not give it any for of legitimacy.

More legitimacy than your stupid arse life expectancy argument.

Your premise is flimsy.

In fairness, aside from just protecting your feet from sharp objects, in certain areas it would be wise to wear footwear due to a higher prevalence of parasitic nematodes like hookworms that might infect you through bare feet.

Otherwise, many of the proponents of grounding like to wear shoes specially made to promote grounding, getting the best of both worlds (literally more connected to nature & modern convenience / more sanitary). And these types, like the guy I cited in my first post, don't just want to live to 70. They want to optimize their health so they can still run, hike, bike & lift when they're 70.

“The Journal of Inflammation Research”

Peer reviewed

You realize anything can be peer reviewed? We could form the The Annals of Tigerdropping Medicine and “review” each other’s work and call it a peer reviewed journal.

Come on man
