From the journal article...
Darwin will take care of these idiots when they stick their ground wire in the wrong wall outlet
quote:
These are simple conductive systems in the form of sheets, mats, wrist or ankle bands, adhesive patches that can be used inside the home or office, and footwear. These applications are connected to the Earth via a cord inserted into a grounded wall outlet

Me thinks you don’t know shite about electrical wiring or Darwin.

...it’s just a regular plug into an outlet. I guess we better throw away our TVs, laptops, washing machines etc

I am sure you are dealing with a lot of ignorance up in this thread but this is something I believe in, along with many other forms of non-traditional practices that go away from western medicine norms. Unfortunately, big pharma gonna big pharma and people will continue their western medicine ways and taking a pill regimen for anything and everything that goes wrong or feels off in their bodies

First of all did you pay for access to the journal? Because it’s behind a paywall.
Second, The abstract says nothing about a control group
Third, It says there were 12 subjects... terrible power
Fourth, they used saliva cortisol tests probably because these people don’t even have medical licenses to perform blood tests. Do you know how accurate saliva cortisol tests are?
And finally, they said the subjects “showed a trend towards”... was that statistically significant? They don’t give any statistical analysis

It was a joke. Calm down

Another research with the experiments fully outlined by different researcher
Same results
LINK
You can keep laughing about “who” published it and keep ignoring the neurosurgeons, MDs, chemists behind all these experiments — just makes you look like a flat earther

My acupuncturist, who is also a licensed western medical doctor, says this is true

You should. As you are well aware, humans are immune to energy transfer unless it comes through food.

That is a much better study design. If those results are accurate then I can’t really argue with you there.
The only thing I will say is that proving that it can alter those electrolytes and blood components ever so slightly doesn’t mean it can actually treat disease. They would need to do further studies. But if that study you linked is reproducible it is indeed interesting

The problem with a lot of these alternative medicines is not that they are completely false. In fact most have some basis in scientific fact.
It’s the extraordinary claims that some people make (it can cure cancer, you don’t need vaccines, etc.) that cause problems
For example, I can almost 100 percent guarantee you that alternative medicine doctors aren’t JUST saying “grounding can slightly lower your TSH level”... they are saying “grounding can treat thyroid disease”
See the difference? You would have to show me a study where grounding treated legitimate thyroid disease compared to the gold standard medical therapy before you could make that statement

Oh yeah I know.
I’m just hoping it makes me sleep better

Oh by all means give it a shot
It seemed like you were trying to defend grounding from a scientific standpoint, and prove that you had evidence that it works. All you have proved to me so far is that it can slightly alter blood chemistry. That says nothing about it’s ability to treat sleep disorders or disease.
For all we know, doing 10 push-ups, getting 5 minutes of sunlight, or drinking a warm glass of milk could have the same effect on your blood chemistry
