I can understand the convenience, but things like meat and produce I like to pick out myself. Plus I can see what's on sale.

If I just needed some dry goods or something, sure.

I like the idea, but don't want some kid picking out my produce.

Tried it from Sams once and it was an absolute shite show. They never came outside with the stuff, so I had to go inside and track someone down. I finally found our cart, and started looking through it and noticed things were missing. I asked about it and they said “oh, if it isn’t there, then we are out of it.” One of the things missing was a gallon of milk. I said, “there isn’t a gallon of milk in this store?” I ended up walking back to the milk isle and grabbing a gallon, but had to check out separately for that since they had already changed the total of the pickup order to reflect the fact that they were supposedly out of milk. I’ll never do it again until I find a grocery store that does not employ the mentally challenged.

Grocery delivery is even better if everyone in the household works long hours or has a lot of activities that prevents a trip to the grocery store.

I like grocery shopping too when i have the free time. Curbside pickup seems there’s always an item missing or the fruit looks like shite and they give me the ground beef that expires tomorrow

Yeah our Publix delivers to our house for a cheap annual fee. Just have to order over $30. Also all the sale items and 2 for 1s listed

How do you select the right cut of meat that way? I like to look at the Filet Mignon on display and select them in person. How do you check the expiration labels to be sure you are getting the freshest products?

customer reviews/rates the shopper and there's probably consequences for stuff like that. Im sure with a complaint walmart would make it right.

For those of you that do walamart pickup.

They have a new credit card that gives 5% unlimited cash back on wlamart.com and store pickup.

you always make out better with the substitutions
I LOVE pickup but this isn’t true

I have at least one really stupid sub every time. This weekend I ordered probiotic gummies. They gave me multi vitamin gummies. Why in the hell wouldn’t they give me one of the other ten brands of gummy probiotics on the app? Or non gummy probiotics? How are multi vitamins even remotely considered a substitute for probiotics. Just dumb

I wish they’d institute a program that selected the next best item instead of relying on the shopper

Other than that, it’s just great. Someone told me they wouldn’t use it because they don’t trust shoppers to get their order right but (other than subs) I’ve always gotten exactly what I ask for. And I don’t have to dodge idiots in Walmart

This is really only negative I've come across so far. Its a gamble, not on freshness, but size/cut. If they are out of something, they will try to sub it for something similar. Some times you might get stuck with thin cuts, or you could get lucky and get a nice thick cut from the butcher. I'd suggest going in for steaks if you're picky about it like me.

We pickup things like chicken breasts, ground beef, onions, potatoes

But we go to another store for other cuts of beef, avocados, grapes

I allow Walmart to substitute on some items, especially if it comes in bigger sizes. You can always reject the sub item if not happy.

Recently ordered 32 ounce bag of rice and got a 5 lb. bag for the same price. Ordered a medium jar of salsa and got a 64 ounce jug for same price.

They subbed some store brand naan that turned out to be moldy, though the mold was not visible in the package. I just went on the app and clicked for a refund because of poor quality, and they gave it. Same happened when they forgot to give me my celery.

Oh cool. I haven’t seen that feature. I’ll keep that in mind

I agree that the substitutions usually work out for you. It’s just that sometimes they sub really dumb stuff that you refuse so you don’t get an item you needed. But you could have if they shopped a little smarter

It was pretty decent the few times I used it, but just not really necessary for my lifestyle. If I had strict work hours and/or children, I'm sure I'd feel differently.
