I am not a PETA fan, but it is stupid incidents like this that probably gave the organization a reason to exist.
PETA exists to enrich itself. No one made that shark attack them

Sometime you eat the bar and sometimes the bar eats you.....

Yeah...those gills got mangled.

I think the diver should have at least gotten bit.

This is my least favorite ot saying. It just screams "I'm a middle aged republican with nothing original to say, but isn't this clever?"

Yeah, you have to watch that one until the end to see that yes, there was a diver in that cage.

I mean it shows up in almost every thread.

I felt bad for that beautiful creature as it fell lifeless to the ocean floor.

That's a shame. Cages should have smaller holes to prevent that.

Watch a shark eat a live fish and then you guys come back and feel bad for the shark. Life’s a biatch and death is often a brutal ending.
Eta: if you think that shark dying was remotely brutal, imagine what he was trying to do to those divers. That would have been a mess. I like sharks, I just think it’s laughable humans think that an animal being killed by a human is always a brutal death. A brutal death is dying of ‘natural’ causes in nature.

Kind of sucks, there's thought to be only like 4,000 of them. Sucks a dumb cage would take one out like that.

And that is the shark acting on its instincts. Sometimes there is beauty in death. This wasn’t one of those cases
Throw in some thrill seeking douchebags and a metal cage and it becomes unnatural

How do you know they were thrill seekers and not just biology students or something?
So let me get this right, a shark eating a human is ‘natural instinct and nature’ but an animal being killed by a human is not natural? Didn’t realize that humans weren’t part of nature anymore.
That cage may have been made by humans, but that shark died on its own by a dumb mistake. Animals get stuck in ‘natural’ objects all of the time.

managed to break the cage free from the chains holding it and damage the door so that the divers couldn’t get it open? And they’d be trapped in it as it began to sink and there’s nothing at all they could do about it.
That is the exact plot to the movie 47 Meters Down.

None of us know the backstory but odds are they’re not “just biology students”

Metal cages aren’t a part of the natural ocean ecosystem

Sharks can’t really make dumb mistakes. They act on instinct
