Why was he not cooperating? Warrants? Drugs on him?
Edit: full version is out there. Driving without a license, no tags, had history of narcotics, felon in possession of a gun

You are 100% correct here.

A billy club would’ve sufficed early on

Twenty years ago this would have been an immediate arse beating and no one would have gotten killed. It is a fact that body cameras, lawsuits with quick payouts and politicians drooling to fire cops have resulted in an aversion to punching or hitting someone over the head. Much less choking them out.
I have some experience fighting non-compliant adults and I can tell you that it is next to impossible to man handle someone violently resisting. Me and another grown man once had an all out fight with a drunk 115 pound woman. Because we were hesitant to punch her out.
This could have all been stopped if one of those officers had hauled off and kicked this dude in the face. Until the political climate changes, this will continue to happen. I can't imagine doing the job today.

Why are all these people resistant to tasers nowdays? Did we start making them weaker or are people just crazier and more hopped up on illegal drugs?

Tough to watch. The cops were entirely too flexible with him though. Will definitely be training material for the young rooks on the force.
RIP Officer
RIP Officer

He was likely drunk and didn’t want to be arrested

As much as it would suck for law abiding people I think the only thing that can change this is the cops going on strike. Everywhere.

How on earth do you douchebags think you get away with this when it's happening RIGHT NOW?
WHO IS PRESIDENT RIGHT NOW?
Frick anyone who is stupid enough to fall for your stupid bs.
You know damn good and well what he meant is that this is what the country will look like for 4 more years if Biden gets elected. Trump isn't responsible for any of this, and you know it. If he had his way all of these BLM/Antifa protests would be over within days of them getting out of hand. Instead, these Dem cities are turning down his help.

Lab grade drugs coming out of China are medical grade pain killers. Fentanyl is strong as frick

I'm no fan of Biden but why do you think that things will all of a sudden change when Trump gets re-elected?

Damnit he had a gun on him the whole time and cops didn’t know it
That's probably why he was resisting so much. He knew they would find it on him. Just like Floyd and the Fentanyl. This is a reason most suspects resist, not because they are "scared." shite like this is likely why cops get trigger happy.

Here wo go...

David Anthony Ware, 33, could face the death penalty on a first-degree murder charge in connection with Johnson’s death. He is also charged with shooting Zarkeshan with intent to kill him, as well as with drug possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.

Get into a h2h altercation and just stab their arse with 300mg of ketamine and they’ll be down in 5 minutes.
One of the problems with that is fine motor skills go out the window in h2h combat. Even using flesh penetrating needles without the subject being properly restrained is not a good idea.
It’s time to train every officer to use dogs and have every police car equipped to be a canine unit. The moment noncompliance starts, back up officer unmuzzles the dog.
I think this thug and the recent rapist thug would have both quickly found themselves to be compliant with a canine biting down on a forearm.

Because he was a felon with a gun. Mandatory prison time.

Thats not feasible. Trained dogs are a premium asset, and handlers need as much training as the dogs do. It could never be implemented.

We just need common sense gun control laws that make it harder to get guns.

gotta be something better than pepper spray or tazer right? anything stronger to get these ppl down?
that stuff didn't affect this guy at all. very sad to see this
People bitch that OC and Taser are too painful and cruel, no way they'll ever allow anything stronger. They are fighting to disarm cops as it stands now.

This is exactly what happens when you send sheep to catch a wolf. Then when the sheep get hurt, the other sheep argue that they could have done it better.

You want someone to pull out a "quick inject ketamine tool" in a hand to hand combat situation that will tranquilize anyone it's used on within a few minutes? Really?
