Maybe educate yourself about this bear or STFU!

Thats sad. Opened thinking it would say she died of older age, illness, normal injury, etc. Being hit by a car wasnt a fitting ending for her.

We could have a protest and riot if it was a black bear - grizzly not so much - they are privileged.

Friend,

While I am sorry for your loss, it is no secret that I do not like grizzly bears. While on a hiking-fly fishing adventure near the Blackfoot River in Montana years ago, a monster grizzly charged me. Thankfully I had bear spray, which, along with God’s protective hand, saved me from being mauled. It was quite upsetting to me when, against local residents’ wishes, the NPS last year crammed down the decision to introduce grizzly bears to North Cascades National Park.

It might make me a better Christian to find love for one of God’s creatures, but grizzly bears are one of the few creatures with which I would never want to share an ark. I have seen them from a relatively good distance in the T*****, maybe even the one you mention. Never seeing one again in the wild would make me happy.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

I figured at 28 years old that she would be smart enough to not walk out in front of cars.

I get that, but she was different. She actually chose to stay closer to humans than in the backcountry to keep her young safe. This is why she was so loved.

Watched this sow and her cub right off the Highline Trail at Glacier NP in early Sept. Observed them for about 10 mins and they didn't know/didn't care that we were there and never once felt threatened but had the bear spray ready. A week or so later a hiker with his three yr old daughter encountered the same two in the same area but were much closer.

If this grizzly was so famous and important it would've had a name

I'd pay good money to see a grizzly bear and you in a cage match.

They have a habit of digging up your kills, don't they?*

Multiple books and documentaries prove otherwise as well as thousands of followers on social media. No grizzly has ever been photographed as many times as 399 was either.

Missed her and the four cubs by a day a few years back. Horse guide encountered them the day before my daughter and I went on our trail ride. Been following her ever since.

That reminds me, has the white bison calf born earlier this year, ever been spotted again?
