Why would anyone do this?!?!?! This should be negligent homicide, manslaughter, or something similar. You can't convince me that a 50+ y/o man doesn't know better. Poor child.

yep.

Ideally its wifes dad.

Divorce.

Don't look back.

Parents missed their chance to fly into a rage and kill the fool.

Chances are that crimes of passion go unpunished in Puerto Rico.

I truly feel for the family, I couldn't imagine ever losing a child and the pain that follows. However, this is purely because cruse lines have deep pockets.

No it’s not. It’s so that the family doesn’t have to accept that the loved grandfather killed their baby girl. It is easier to blame the cruise line as having fault for having windows open in a kids play area, than to blame their father/father-in-law.

You are told at the muster drill to not sit children on the banisters around the ship, glass or not. There is no excuse for the grandfather placing the child in that danger whether he thought there was glass behind the child or not.

Which should be the perfect defense for their suit. No way the cruise line should have to pay anything other than maybe a complimentary trip.

They just lost their baby. Do you really think hitting up deep pockets occupies any part of their mind right now?

So I can't have an opinion about how a convo went between two posters if I don't respond to it on the same day?

Neat.

Btw, I didn't bump this thread dude. It was on the first page when I clicked this board.

Blaming someone else tends to be an outlet for grief. I think they are doing their best not to put the blame where it belongs, the grandpa. Lawsuit is part of that.

If its any case, it's time for those windows to be permanently closed and sealed shut in place.

Can't trust people to not be smart and not put a goddamn toddler on that rail.

Once someone is stupid enough to do that and it actually results in death, it's ruined for everyone and precautions has to be taken.

So the dude talking out of his arse like I bumped this thread is calling me autistic?

Yeah, that's another notch on the what's worse lists.

This. Additionally, its most likely that they were contacted by lawyers not that they contacted lawyers. Multiple ambulance chasing lawyers probably called them up and told them they should act now to get back at the cruise ship, that they didn't do anything wrong, etc.

Did I say you bumped it?

Your spaghetti is leaking.

You being the one who bumped it or not isn't the cringey part of this.

You're the one that jumped on the two weeks bullshite.

I don't give a shite what time the post was made. If I see it on the first page of the OT and I want to respond to it. I'm responding to it.

Get fricked.

There are a few places on ships that the railing is only about 5' high, some people actually like to see out without glass in the way. I guess the only solution is 7' high railings all around every space.
