Don’t know the job or the industry
so I reserve the right to amend,
but it seems that if the thought enough of you to hire you they would be willing to give you more than 10 days.

Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise for you that you’re getting away from them early.

You should have told him that you defended this country so
he could sleep in peace at night when he laid down his head
, and he can pack his shite

and you'll put a boot in his arse

Sorry, man. Bad luck but one week into a new job I'm dragging my arse through glass to get to work and just hoping they send me home if I look pathetic enough.

In the future get you one of these, especially if you're working a desk job.

Sciatica sucks, but sometimes you gotta power through it.

My ex wife left a decent paying job for more pay and half days on Friday. She left the new job early one day the first week because of a migraine and got fired the next day.

It's a different world than the cushy govt jobs with lavish pensions. I suspect you will be okay though, given your lavish pension.

I did man. Couldn't move without immense pain. couldn't get up from a lying position without using my whole body to lift me up.

Steroids are a hell of a drug.

Did you call in, and explain the situation?
Or, did you just not show up?

The situation is really dependent upon how you handled it.

Nothing more. Missed Friday. Gutted through Monday and missed Tuesday. Rolled in this morning and he said see you later.

I don’t blame him. I would’ve likely done the same. I rarely missed work in the military. Averaged less than a day a year, but to him, he’s taking on a cripple.

Know a Baw who owns a construction company who will not hire military. Said he made the mistake of hiring some Seabees early in his career and they were the laziest workers he’s ever hired. Different cultcha Baw.

Acute sciatica is no joke.

try burst fracture, spinal fusion and bulging discs

I still deadlift 600 pounds for reps and make it to work every day. Sad that you think sciatica is debilitating
