We have the bike and tread. Both get used 3-4 times a week. My wife works like a dog and can only use them on the weekends.

When I see posts like this it starts to make sense why some people cannot handle joint accounts and prefer to keep things separate.

My wife got one- now her legs are hot AF, she is confident, and these Peloton women have FB groups where they talk- she knows at least one of them IRL now. It’s been a super thing for her.

Oh, and BTW- the gay instructor Cody Rigsby tells them sometimes- “if you can put out to someone tonight, you should” So you also get the bonus of added seggs- courtesy of their virtual gay friend.

But, you also could just be poor and coming on here to attention seek because your conservative wife is asking to save money by trying out a used one.

Peter bought a "Pedalton" for Lois as a Valentine's gift, and she got ripped overnight.

Lois said the called the company and told them she used it three days. "They said that was a world record."

After reading this thread I realized I have been taking my wife for granted way too much.

She's an exercise junky, always has been. She has her flaws, as do we all, but staying fit isn't one of them.

I'm the one who slacked off over the last couple of years. I think I was in a bit of a depression, combined with getting older and kind of burned out on always being "in training".

I raced bikes for years and was really fit. But after I stopped racing I began to lose interest in riding as hard as that 4 times a week.

Now I've got 30 pounds to show for it and I'm 55. It's harder to shed the weight, but I am refocused.

Meanwhile the wife is still a size 0 and works out every day.

I say get her the peloton with the hopes that it's the thing that will stick.

If it sits there, sell it.

Is her gym membership to one of those cheap gyms like Planet Fitness.? Those gyms suck and are designed to keep you away from there.

Buy it, move on, and never say, “I told you so…” when you have to sell it. You will enjoy life much more than any alternatives.

This is the best advice here man.

My wife wanted one so we got it. I knew she’d never ride it. She complained about everything…seat hurts, hard to adjust, instructors are annoying, pedals are hard to click out of. Everything was a problem.

Just resell it when she’s done with it, or put it in your own workout routine (that’s what I did, just had my century ride). Either way you’ll be happier in the long run and you’ll be the hero who tried to champion her dreams. If you say no, you’re worse off on multiple fronts.

That means a rando at the club when she's confident and fit.

Not a peloton but I absolutely love my bike. Use it all the time. Would recommend.

If your wife is not worth this modest request you have chosen poorly.

Of course he could, but it's an easy built in excuse to be lazy

She could walk three to four miles four times a week. That's cheap.

peloton is going bankrupt. buy a good street bike with a trainer. a long time ago i rode 80 miles in one day and 280 miles one week. and spent a lot of money on a Marcy gym for my wife.

Because, unlike you, she has a vagina. It's undefeated.
