Google’s YouTube platform is rolling out major changes to how it identifies and displays AI-generated content, introducing automatic detection capabilities and more visible labels for viewers.
Variety reports that YouTube has announced significant updates to its approach to labeling AI-generated content, introducing automatic detection systems and making disclosures more prominent for viewers. The changes represent an evolution of policies the platform first implemented in 2024, when it began requiring creators to manually disclose their use of AI tools.

About time this happened. I can mostly discern AI content, but it's getting better all the time. Pretty soon it won't be just boomers getting fooled.

The admin of our neighborhood FB page has not deactivated FB's AI posting. Now there are constant shite starting post by 'AnnonymousKittySun' and 'FlowerWinterStorm' and every neighbor over 50 engages with them as if they are real. Made me realize these social media AI agents are mostly geared towards boomers by giving them an opportunity to be preachy.
