You can’t make a bunch of false negative reviews. Google and yelp doesn’t allow it. It’s not politically motivated
That said their owner is a massive piece of shite. Always has been. He was giving refuge to people after the police tear gassed crowds for trying to march onto the elevated interstate/bridge during a protest a couple years ago. He was publicly chastising police for doing it etc.
If I were nopd, I’d never respond to any calls to his home or business.
There are quite a few business that have the same mentality. Turkey & Wolf comes to mind

I pretty much only use Google as does anyone I know. Never once used yelp. Much easier when searching the map for places to pull up those reviews.

Google has algorithms/systems that detect when mass ratings are inputted for businesses at a much higher rate than normal for that business and disregards them.
It's been that way a while.
I'm sure there is also a way for a business owner to report it, but they have automated systems for it too. It's also to stop business owners from forcing their ranking to be higher through friends, family, and bots.

The way around this is to systematically, over time, put in reviews. And they can't seem completely fake. More like "Really rude service and beer was average", etc. and have different IPs do it once or twice a week with totally different messages and switching between 1,2,3* ratings.
It's been that way a while.

Google should delete those reviews, and others like them that target other businesses for whatever reason. It is one of the good things Google does.
The guy is a shitty person and his business will suffer without the blast of negative reviews based on no real experience with the business itself.

If you sort the reviews by "newest," you'll see that there were 55 1* reviews that have been given within the last 24 hours. That's about 10% of the number of total reviews (showing 590 currently).
Maybe Google considers the influx of negative reviews "spam," so they aren't being factored into the overall rating?

Exactly.
We had a buddy open a restaurant in Chattanooga and he asked us to put in good reviews and like 40 of us did over a couple days and they all got wiped

As a business owner who has dealt with bullshite google reviews NOT getting taken down. I have a major problem with this.
Even given the fact that I think that owner is a complete a-hole, I am not one to go give a bad review.

Go stand out on a public sidewalk or the neutral ground in front of his business on a Friday night and hand out printed copies of his piss comments as people walk by/walk in
