Not true... I was raised by boomers and they were the furthest thing from helicopter parents. Hence the reason we’re called the latchkey kids (Gen X). We were given keys to the house and took care of ourselves every day until our parents got hm in the evng. My parents never knew where we were and we knew it was time to start walking or riding our bikes home when the streetlights came on.
ETA... My son is a Sr at a different school but also a Kappa Sig. I tried hard (I’m nosey, not a Karen) to get him to tell me what all they do now for “hazing” and he refused. He told me only the fraternity knows the rituals.

I always respected the Kappa Sigs for their dedication to the humiliation of their pledges. But really, I was in awe of the hazing abilities of Omega Psi Phi. Those guys showed me some stuff back in the 80's that make the activities at Abu Ghraib look amateur...

I was a Kappa Sigma in the early 90’s. Yes, I got hazed. For some reason, Kappa Sigmas are good at that shite. However I never really got into hazing pledges. We just tried to pick decent guys as best we could during rush that didn’t seem to be total douches and just make sure they were solid guys. Good thing about Kappa Sigma, an active can cut a pledge if he wants so if there is one that slips through the cracks, you can cut him. The gloves came off when they are JI’s. You can haze the frick out of new guys. If they don’t like it, they can leave and no harm no foul. Now they can tell you to get fricked right back since they are actual members but JI’s took some abuse back in the day.

How bad do you think this hurt? With their ball hair pulling removed by duct tape? Rumor is One guy had the Skin on his pecker come off too with the duct tape and when he went to the lake To be treated they filed the complaint

Most of the edwards family was involved in fraternities and/or sorority.
