Your answer is physical therapy and not a chiropractor.

I'd look for chiros that have associations with high level athletics.

Hymel Sports and Wellness
LSU Athletics Chiropractor according to LSUSports.net
Jonathan Hymel, DC, CCSP
Chiropractor
Hymel Sports and Wellness Center

EDUCATION Undergrad: Louisiana State University • Doctorate: Texas Chiropractic College
PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians

I went to Kip Corbin about a decade ago and he helped me a lot with lower back/hip pain, but I'm not sure how much he actively does anymore. He was the Team USA Track & Field Chiropractor for the 1988 Olympics, and was the Chiropractor consultant for LSU T&F for about 20 years too.

Dr. David "Kip" Corbin

If it's a sports injury that's bothering you, the people at Traction Sports might be able to help.

Some free advice. Stretch more, maybe try yoga. One thing about going to a chiro is that they may relieve the symptoms temporarily, but usually the cause of the pain will still be there.

This. Chiropractors exist for two reasons, to get you hooked on regular “adjustments” for life and to create personal injury claims.

And yet LSU has one on staff for the athletic department.
Maybe there’s more to them then the one you saw because you were too cheap to see an MD.

Taking offense on behalf of chiropractors and then assuming 1) I’ve ever been to a chiropractor 2) that I’m too cheap to see an MD. Wrong on both counts.

I’m curious, what does LSU’s staff chiro provide that an MD and PT doesn’t?
