A kmart store in Gonzales or THE kmart store? I thought the only kmart in the baton rouge area was the one in Gonzales.

Talk about. Who on earth went there?

Couldn't have been much more than a tax write off

from what I've seen one of her top priorities was to bring big business to that part of town.... now she has a big store in Cortana to bring someone in to replace Sears... can't wait to see her and her expert panel come together and bring something huge to fill the void

That's dumb. Sears Cortana was on fire since the flood.

As for as Sear in Cortana, I assumed it was already closed. I didn't think there were any big department stores there anymore. Is the piccadilly still open?

I've been wondering how that K-Mart remained open. It had been empty for over a decade.

All in one rim/shoe/check cashing store. Would rake in the money at that location.

Piccadilly is closed, I believe.

JCPenny will be the only fully functional anchor store in Cortans after Sears closes.

Dillard's is a clearance store.

In the Nola area, the Sears at Oakwood Mall, the K-Mart at Elmwood, and the Macy's at Espanade mall are closing this spring.

Anyone want to go in a business venture with me to open up an indoor putt putt place for Gonzales..we have a bowling alley and movie theatre..I have a good idea design for it that includes adult nights with no one under 18 allowed after a certain time...there will be women in scandalous outfits on carts driving around the course selling beer and other things...I just need money for the backing!
