Went to Top Golf on Good Friday and it was absolutely buzzing. They’d added the Toptracer technology since the last time I’d been and that was really sick watching ball flight (aka my ball curving 50 feet to the right into the fence)
I’m assuming GolfSuites will have similar tech, it’ll be nice to have options I guess

I pass by the site weekly and there’s no way that thing is opening anytime soon
It looks like that fricking place on Airline with the big ball that closed before the Antoich extension.

what sets this place apart?
Hope it goes after more serious players providing club head speed, launch angle, exact distance etc. with real golf balls.

Just did some research this place uses actual goofballs.
It's basically a golf simulator on crack. You can play 1000s of courses on a sim but also hitting real balls and watching ball flight.
This will appeal to more serious players for sure.

Not sure where the disconnect is but they are not building what the rendering shows. There is construction activity wrapping up but all they have done is pour a couple of simple concrete pads with a tin roof cover. It’s an old school driving range with a new roof. The original “club house” is intact.
Don’t know how this was exaggerated into being a Topgolf competitor

So, this is the 3rd Golf Suites in America.
Feel proud, BR.

I drive by this place frequently. The facilities look absolutely nothing like the drawings. It is only one story, long cement slab was poured, and a big metal awning was built over it. The old building is still there that was built 10’ off the ground because that area floods.
Could have some potential if it is affordable, but it will be no where as nice as TopGolf.

That rendering and what is being built are hilariously different.
It s unbelievable. Literally a single layer of bays covered by a tin roof. Looks like they are adding a patio too, but it is a far cry from a Top Golf competitor.

I've been to top golf twice. First time it was on a Saturday evening party of 7, we had a 30 min wait.
Second time it was for my nephew's birthday party. It was Sunday at noon. It was already packed when I got there.
I think a GolfSuites could be successful.

No other area would work. You think it would succeed in NBR off Plank Road?
Plus they had to find land the owner was willing to sell. They cant just annex the perfect spot.

I looked up their other two locations in Lubbock and Tulsa and they legitimately look like something that would compete with Top Golf. Unfortunately it looks like what's going up on Siegen is the dollar store version.

There’s not even a parking lot set up. It’s a limestone lot with no signage to get to it.

Maybe its opening May 2023? This situation is just odd.

Have they even done anything to the property?
Yes, but it looks nothing like the rendering. Looks like a driving range right now.

Hope they enjoy flooding.
