Beware of anything used with old (original) batteries.
Buy batteries from Costco. 6 volt batteries are $100. 8 volts are $115

I think in your case it a waste of good money. I lived in a golf community
Its embarrassing driving by neighborhoods where 39% of the homes have a golf cart when there is literally 0 golf courses.

Have a garage which would accommodate it, since mine is too damn small for cars.
When you play golf is the golf cart garage attached to the clubhouse?
Generally, they arent.....

Go see wayne at geauxbuggies in hammond. He can get you in a basic/stock right off a course all the way to fully customized and /or street legal. Good guy and fair prices.

We've had our used cart for five years. With 160+ acres, it's useful unless we need to do heavy hauling.
One thing to check is ease of entry and exit. If you or your wife are short, slight difference in stepping up and down do matter and not all carts have the same clearance.
If anyone is looking northeast of Knoxville, I can recommend the good ole boys we bought from near Jefferson City.

The only positive thing about this cart is that it’s a great way to spot the boorish a-hole(s) without having to actually interact with the boorish a-hole(s).

Why not get something like a Kawasaki Mule? You can do something productive with it.

I live near a beach and have a Club Car. We drive the shite out of it and its gets abused. It is lifted as you wouldn't want one on the beach that is not. This one is currently 5 years old and has no major issues. My last Club Car lasted 8 years before rust got to it but we kept it outside under a carport. We keep our current one in a garage and rinse it every beach trip. EZ Go and other models seem to have issues a lot sooner.
I would find a used one that needs or has older batteries knowing I would be replacing the batteries with Lithium. They charge faster, are a lot lighter, hold a charge a lot longer (decreased weight adds to that run time), and will last a lot longer. They are more expensive and require a different charger. I just priced some and the entire package was ~$1500 installed and was going to drop my cart weight 230 lbs.
Whatever you do, do not buy new and do not buy one that was used in a coastal environment. The markup for new is ridiculous and there are a ton of used available. You can do it for $4000-$6000 all in including the battery swap.

I thought there were the case, and I'm sure you can find some that are, but I just looked some up at a custom place and holy crap. Some of those damn things are over $15K. They have been highly customized, but that's ridiculous.

Those are pretty basic and over-priced.

Be sure to buy the undercoating package and the paint seal treatment.
