I was already paying $253/month for an individual policy that doesn't cover medicine, doctor visits, or therapy. There is like a $6k deductible before any of that is covered. Next year my insurance increases $90. I just can't afford it. I'm a healthy 32 year old and it shouldn't cost this much. Anyone else in this boat? Make too much to qualify for subsidies but not enough to live comfortably. Stuck in the middle.

Isn’t this the first year where you won’t be penalized for not having health insurance again ?

I did throughout most of my 20s. Paid off for me, but I was lucky to be healthy and not have any real injuries.

I'm in business for myself. There is no group plan.

My retirement might not include health insurance.

My parents retired in the early 2000s and their initial health insurance premiums were over $600/month, and that was before they qualified for Medicare.

Yes, I'm paying around $500, and I used it last year, and had to pay for all my tests out of pocket because the deductible wasn't met. The first doctor charges $140 (I paid $30 copay)cash for a visit. The meds weren't covered by my insurance anyway, and the specialist billed $650 for the visit.

Lets say I paid $140+$650+$50 (meds) $840 out of pocket. That was supposed to be covered. Sleep Apnea test was another $900 out of pocket.

I paid my Insurance $6,000 a year and they paid out $720 freaking dollars. (meds not covered, plus copays)
I'm just afraid if I cut it I will have cancer or something and miss it.

I wasted $4260 last year by having Insurance.

Baw you don’t have to be on Obamacross and pay for the fatties and single moms anymore

I got a high deductible plan that’s trump approved and it’s like 120 a month

Car insurance is kind of expensive too, you'd save a bunch by going without that as well.

Get a sharing ministry. If you have a car wreck or something and have an extended hospital say you'll gave generational debt.

Thank Obama, the only thing he did while in office was to screw this up.

Premiums have increased 200-300% while salaries increase by 2-3%.

Do the math

But if you are unemployed it's free

If we could get the Supreme Court to overthrow Bates Vs the State Bar of Arizona, we could get car insurance rates normal in half a generation.

You amoral piece of shite. You should be happy to subsidize the care of the unemployed and elderly.

Hopefully, a socialist gets into office soon and puts a gun to your head, forcing you to do it.

As with all things in life, the more expensive it is, the better the quality.
