Went back at 25 and received my BSEE at the age of 29.

Best decision ever.

DO IT.

I went back at 30 to finish my business degree. I'm 35 now and almost done with my MBA.

The BS has already paid for itself, the MBA I'm not sure about yet.

If you are in a professional role, try and get your company to pay for it.

I am 65 and did think about signing up at the local Voc Tech college (6 Miles) to learn A/C & Heating, auto tech, welding, just to pick up a skill. Being retired and curious and having time to do so is a motivator. Have not registered yet though.

I got my degree at 31. No student debt and have the experience to compliment my degree. I'd say go for it. I would have made a few different decisions if I were to do it over again but without a doubt, a degree can't hurt you in the market place.

Are you wanting to do construction project management or corporate project management?

I'm 30 full time student at a community college to save money and transferring to a university in the fall.

Was military. Illinois Veterans Grant pays my full cost and I bank GI Bill.

I enjoy learning it. Sucks sitting in a classroom, but nice to learn the shite I blew off in highschool.

I have an associates in Construction Management and will finish my batchelors in december, a week after I turn 30. Not sure if it will pay off but I havent yet put my resume out. I work for an industrial contractor so I will have 5 or 6 years of relevant experience to go with it.

Project Management can translate to all fields. I currently work Construction/Engineering, so I'm familiar with that. I honestly don't have a preference at the moment though.

I went back to school when I was 37(all online, worked full time), finished my BSN a month before I turned 39.

Didn't really have much of a choice though. My hospital mandates all nursing staff to have their BSN by 2020 or they will no longer have a job there.

ETA: Never too late imo. I know nurses in their 40s and 50s going back to school to become nurse practitioners.

I’m 26 and going back full time starting in summer.

I haven’t gone through it yet so I can’t tell you about what happens after. But I can say that it’s kinda crazy right now. It’s weird putting life on hold. Changing level of income drastically to almost not at all. Fortunately I had money saved for a house(The deal fell through and somethings at work changed and I decided to finish school). I still have younger friends in school so it isn’t too bad as I will have that support group.

My only concern is my degree. I’ve narrowed it down to accounting or finance. Talking to the schools next week to see which is shorter. Idk if that’s actually good though. I feel like I should start from scratch and do medicine. Dental or Doctor.
All my friends that I talk to about going back say they wish they wish they would have done something different. Guys in engineering and finance both told me they wish they did dental/Dr. But in short just think it through, I already know that once I’m done I’m gonna wish I did something that resulted in better pay. But to be honest I am not cut out for dental or med school

Good luck man and fricking do it.

Can't you just get a PM certification...why would you have to college for that? Civil is boring but construction management isn't? How bout industrial?

What do you design?

I would say go for it. I'm 31 and should be done with my MBA in August. I got my BSBE and have been working for 10 years. There's no reason to not go back and finish.

I went back to school at 30 to get an accounting degree and become a CPA. I originally was going to take enough classes to qualify for a Masters in Accounting, but liked my school so much that I stayed and got a second bachelor's degree. I was able to take on-campus classes at night and online classes at my convenience so I could keep working full time during the day.

I graduated in December 2016 with a 3.9 GPA (I was much more motivated this time) and would definitely do it again. Now I just need to finish passing the CPA exam.
