Wow.... and that's it for the 24/7 feed. Just Front Pitch Guy giving an underwhelming sign off.

SFN is still going, though their next focus is the PC.

My niece is fascinated by everything space. We watched the entire NASA feed from the pregame to splashdown to them heading to the medical bay.

It was awesome.

Was listening to the flight surgeon earlier. He said after 9 days in space, the gravity might be a little tough for them. Hence the wheelchairs if needed.

I knew I recognized that name...

The cadence answer could have been from 45 years ago. I really hope NASA doesn't lose institutional history and develop a perpetual "go fever" again.

Ugh. fricking dumbass reporter just tried to force a DEI Hispanic on a future crew. I’m so glad they just ignored him.

Yeah, I heard that question. I hope there’s a renewed interest nationally in space. Epcot is prepping for it with new stuff.

So yeah....Amit just confirmed my initial opinion of him with the answer to favorite part of the mission. What a pompous arse. If that's truly what it is, get the hell out of NASA.

Deemed by rescuing team to be quicker and much safer to go by helicopter. They actually had a choice, but decided to go with helicopter recovery

100% correct choice. I would want to be in a boat after all that. Totally get me on a helicopter easy peasy

What in the frick is the holdup?

I thought they said they landed like 3000 yards away

And why not a boat.? This is clumsy as frick.
it looked painful for sure. But the point made was that everything was planned for worst case scenario. For example if there was a medical emergency, you wouldn't want to do what you suggested.

Everyone else said the launch or different points of the return through our atmosphere (ex. When they saw the chutes...when they got 4 greens from the 4... when they saw them getting picked up). Amit say they're and said it was easy to pick one, getting to see his friends tomorrow. Everyone the past 10 days has been about the nixon and what it means. He made it about himself. It was jarring to see and the moderator quickly took another question.

The other jarring moment was whoever answered a question about Jenni and Andre getting an assignment to a future Artemis mission (per Apollo precedent). They said they trained just like the other 4 for this mission and NASA considers them to be a part of the A2 crew. Obviously Jenni's assignment would primarily be controlled by CSA. Most assume Andre and Jessica Meir will walk on the moon. (I really hope they aren't laying the groundwork to screw Andre.) And honestly, Andre probably should've had this mission and Victor the moon landing.

How did he make it about himself? “His friends” are the astronauts. Getting to see them means they are alive. It’s just another way to say that the astronauts made it home safe.
