Better video cameras all around from ascent to landing.

Agreed... a lot of it feels like watching gas station security cams.

Remember they shut down the toilet about 5 hours ago to prepare for the re-entry.

Somebody is going in their suit right now.

And it’s no different than Space Shuttle from 2004 to its retirement. I would have expected some improvements here.

Astronauts sitting on the tarmac (Pacific Ocean) for hours before deplaning… they’re just like us

Because the bottleneck is bandwidth. NASA is recording very very high quality video and pictures. They just aren’t live-streaming 6 cameras at 4k

They need to dust off the Apollo recovery manuals. This recovery is a hot mess.

It’s kinda the quiet part everyone knows but doesn’t say anything about.

Like how most mothers shite themselves on delivery.

Why can't they just ride one of the boats back to the ship? Kinda ridiculous to have to be rescued by a helicopter when the Navy guys are going to ride their boats back to the ship.

Don’t know why they need to have a recovery specialist. They used to hop into a basket and get lifted up by themselves.

You know the REAL reason…. The chick astronaut keeps asking if her hair and makeup look okay.

Then get a starlink sub. They are SpaceX’s customer. Contract out to them, something.

It's like they made it as ridiculously complicated as humanly possible. There's gotta be a better way.

I'll just add that they had a PAO get interrupted because the setup overheated. Everything is a tradeoff and I think we'll appreciate it more as the raw footage comes out.

Neil Degrasse Tyson just said the exact same thing.

So install a completely seperate comms system that they will be out of range of in the first 36 hours of the mission?

Not worth it.

Deemed by rescuing team to be quicker and much safer to go by helicopter. They actually had a choice, but decided to go with helicopter recovery

I’m just talking about for live streaming the ascent and separations. There has to be something that can be done ebto improve things. It’s like they just slapped on the old Shittle External Tank fairing camera and SRB cameras onto the Core Stage.
