I think he was telling you that he liked it. That watch isn't gaudy.

I don't like gold accents myself, but that's a personal choice.

In addition to feeling self conscious about the watch my eyes could no longer read the date on the Rolex without my glasses. Thus the bronze Tudor doesn’t have a date.

I have that sub. I wear my Marathon JSAR the most. Still dig it but would never pay today’s prices for the sub.

Page 3 of a watch thread and Obtuse1 hasn't weighed in yet. I hope he's okay.

Rolex simply because I don't like gold on my watch or ring

Tudor does make the blue bay, but 1. I'd probably be on a waitlist for months to get it and 2. I don't think it goes with as much

You can get one on Jomashop today for about $800 more than retail. That's not terrible.

Not sure how you're going to get a Sub quickly without shelling out a ton of cash.

In all my many years of reading the OT, I have never understood the OT's obsession with watches.

I think the Tudor looks better, the design of the case has much better dimensions, but ultimately it’s not for me. Mainly because I don’t like the faux rivets on the bracelet (really wish they would do away with these), but I’m also not big on gilt accents.

The sub is a solid choice that is super versatile, I actually like the Explorer I more than the sub though (I realize this isn’t one of your choices though )

I know it’s not going to be easy, but I would say to try to get your hands on both of these before making your decision.

I don't get the obsession with guns. Different strokes for different folks.

And people have obsessions with cars- I definitely don't but yep, different strokes and why should anyone care? I certainly do appreciate nice watches and cars. I have obsessions with motorcycles and surfing gear.
