I wouldn’t own one if it was out of warranty and there’s not many places that service them.

Free trip sounds cool but the guy who officiated my wedding is my buddy who runs the local Volvo dealership so I may be stuck going through him

It was always getting serviced

I had a 2016 xc60 that was constantly in the shop for minor shite. I’ve never experienced that before with a vehicle.

Recently cross shopped an xc90 and Audi Q7. Although I felt the Volvo had a much nicer exterior than the audi, and more rear cargo space, the Audi was superior in every other way; especially the powertrain. One thing I didn’t like about Volvo is the all touch screen interface (which Audi has adopted in their brand new models unfortunately).

The Lexus is dog-slow with dated electronics.

The Volvo is extremely safe, but if you want one, BIN before the Chinese gut the company.

I like the BMW 5 in that space; excellent safety rating, better ride quality, and better driving.

Yea, just tell him to contact you when a nice lease return (if you’re looking for a previously owned one) comes in. You’ll get first dibs...just keep going in until one is just too good to pass up.

Tell him to NOT show your wife the V90XC, or you’ll be buying that sexy beast.

It mentions you order from a local showroom.

Contact your buddy, he likely knows all about their overseas program.

We have 50k on the SPA XC60 with no issues.

Shouldn’t that be the norm on all modern cars?

Sell it before the warranty runs out and check to see if your local dealership offers loaners.

Underpowered for what it is, 4 cy engine with turbo. High maintenance costs, very nice looking, just not worth the depreciation if buying new.

Wife has a 2018. It's sweet and fun to drive. Unless you live in a city that has a volvo dealership, it is a pain in the arse to have maintenance performed. Other than that, love it. And it has any cool bell or whistle you can think. Oh, and get the inception

I love Swedish cars in general, own 4 Saabs. If I ever decide on a new car, it will be a Volvo! Just do your regular maintenance and all should be fine...

It is a Volvo. Everything will break/fail and be expensive to repair. But you will look good doing it.

As long as maintenance is covered under the warranty, it's a great SUV. Out of warranty, the maintenance costs are insane and a lot of indie shops are deathly afraid of working on Volvos. At least that was my experience owning an older model.

It absolutely is underpowered compared to its competitors. Everyone else offers a turbo or supercharged v6 (along with a base model 4cyl) which blows away the Volvo’s 4cyl.

Volvo is WAY different now than your 2016 version.

Volvo offers 3 engines in the US. A turbo 4 (T5), a turbo and supercharged 4 (T6), or a turbo and supercharged 4 with 2 electric motors (T8).

The whole idea of SPA is to standardize EVERYTHING with the goal of reliability and safety.

BMW X7. twin turbo 6 335 HP

Acura MDX 6 . 321 HP.

Lexus GX. 301 HP

More HP sure, But they all BLOW away a 316 twin turbo 4?

We won't compare gas mileage numbers...
