Lots of great advice in this thread. I have a little girl in t-ball and I can tell you from a parents' perspective...keep it fun. Don't set your expectations like they're gonna be playing flawless out there. Far from it. You might have a kid get lucky and catch a ball, or even throw it to first base and get a kid out. Then again, don't be surprised if you never see that the entire season.
It's really about introducing the kids to baseball fundamentals, and introducing the game to them.
And good luck with the parents during games who will make you want to go crazy. Especially the little kid on the team who brings 4 deep of generations of his family and they're all yelling at him/her what to do constantly.

Remember it is a game and for fun. Tell them that.

Explain to the kids and the parents the difference between “runs” and “points”.
Ask the parents to not refer to the kids uniforms as “outfits”.

You should have a few that know what they are doing. Put them in the infield to manufacture outs. The rest teach the principles of fielding a ground ball and throwing. Run base drill races so they can have fun at the end and wear them out.

I have no idea how these other 3 and 4 year olds are disciplined enough to play organized t-ball. My kids have zero attention span for this.

You need the instructional video that gets results.

I’ve got a grandson that plays... well he plays in the dirt and pays attention about every fourth batter. Coach them but don’t yell or you well have some grandmas lose their shite on you. Also your best player should be on the pitchers mound with your next best at first base.

Ive spent the last few years coaching the tail end of t-ball then on to 7/8's and now 9/10s. My biggest advice is to just focus on the fundamentals. Things like stepping when they throw (I don't give a shite where the ball goes). Looking at what they are throwing to (I don't give a shite where the ball goes).Stepping when they swing and looking at the ball on the Tee (I don't give a shite if they hit the pole 8" below the ball). Wherever they are in the field, what do they do with the ball when they get it, etc.
My proudest accomplishment coaching my daughter's teams so far was last year (7/8s) on a play where we committed an error and gave up a run. We were in the field, with a runner on first. Grounder hit to the third baseman. The SS moved to the back of grass to back her up. The 2B went to second base. The first baseman went to the bag. The pitcher went behind the plate. The catcher moved the bat and stood at home plate. The LF'er made a move towards the ball and the RF'er backed up 1B on the throw.
The throw went nowhere near 1B, the douchebag thirdbase coach sent the girl from first to home and the douchebag first base coach sent the kid to 2nd, but I was happy as a peach.

Lots of good basic drills in there to get you though the season. At this age repetition is the name of the game. One thing to add is that you (or the asst) needs to say every kids name every day. Attention is all they want. And mommy is watching her kid only. If johnny is doing something wrong, correct him.
During games, talk to the kids constantly. Ask them what they would do if the ball is hit to them. Do NOT just talk to the cool dad, or the asst. Give the kids every bit of attention you have to give.
And most of the single mom stuff, while said in jest, is true.

make sure they understand that a "makeup game" does not mean wearing a costume and wearing makeup. my kid was going to be a zombie.
everybody on the bench, in the batting order, except the batter and the person in the on-deck circle. no one touches a bat except those two. otherwise, they hit each other in the head with bats.
make it fun. it's just a silly game. let them enjoy it

Give me some T-Ball “coaching” tips
Get good snacks for after. None of that healthy crap. Oh, and the hottest mom's kid plays SS and bats 1st.

When you draft your team, only pick the kids with the hottest moms.

There's gonna be 1 kid that can catch a ball. He or she is your 1st baseman.
Posted on 3/29/19 at 9:21 am to Glock17
No matter how many times in oractice you have them run to first base after hitting the ball they will still run to third base after a hit during a game

Yeah I got a tip for ya. Don't freaking do it

I'd start by going over the Infield Fly Rule. You can never start understanding this baseball rule too soon.
