Wouldn't bother me to do this. Personally I think it's a good idea.

Yikes don't believe that nonsense about it being in case you are kidnapped

She just wants to stalk you and make sure you aren't going anywhere she doesn't approve of

The question is, if you share locations and then turn it off for a little while, does the other person get a notification?

For what purpose? Her excuse is bullshite, so what's the real reason?

Not no, but hell no.

You said you left Wal-Mart, but I can clearly see you are still in the parking lot. WHY ARE YOU LYING TO ME?

HELL NO.

Unless youve given her other reasons to suspect you of being untrustworthy, tell her to politely eff off.

Do it. That way she will feel secure knowing where your phone is. Now, wherever you and your burner are, that’s a different story.

Joking.

Usually people who demand stuff like this are usually the ones who are up to no good themselves, so I think OP should be cautious of that.

And then you see status changed to “it’s complicated” before you even know she is pissed.

Me and wife started sharing locations when we were dating because we were long distance and we kept track of each other on our drives back and forth.

You either leave her or get the tracking app.

I’m married but I have it for my kids, wife, and parents and siblings. We don’t care about what we are up to but if something is wrong it’s nice to know I can see that.

Tell her that it’s highly unlikely for a man to be kidnapped so there is no need for you to share your location. But if she’s worried about her safety she can share her location with you.

Edit: You can tell her it’s a compromise. If she balks at just her sharing her location then it’s not really about safety.

Bad idea. Every individual needs some level of privacy in their lives.

Yes, because unimportant (no offense) grown men are routinely kidnapped.

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES do you agree to this. It will never stop and never be enough. In fact, I'd recommend running away from her. She's hiding something. Trust me on this one

She wants to know where you are so she knows where you AREN'T. That's her game.
