Girl you're dating reveals how much debt she is in. What number causes you to walk away?

Obviously type of debt (consumer vs student) and her game plan/potential earnings come into play if we're talking student loan debt. I haven't asked mine yet, but from research I'm assuming around $60k student debt. Praying this isn't the case.

I know a girl who ran up about ~40K in credit card debt for no good reason.
I'd say that's solidly in "hell nah" territory

If it's less than 100k and she's got a good job and decent with money, it wouldn't bother me.
The chances of a girl having a good job and being responsible with money is slim to none, though.

Who gives a shite if your only dating. And if she’s 60k in debt and got an art degree that’s one thing, if she’s 60k in debt and had a law degree big difference.

If she’s over 30, $0 is the correct amount other than home and vehicle.

I knew my wife had a lot of student loan debt when we started dating, but we didn't go into a great deal about the amount until about a year in.
Turned out to be around $52k...
We both worked so breaking up wasn't even a consideration.

What if it's student debt and she's a practicing doctor or dentist?
Because tons of them still have tons of debt at 30.

It all depends what the debt is. Like student loans plus car financing? That's ok. 30-40k+ in credit card debt is a red flag.
But it may be that she spent a lot of money while in school or something and now has a good job where the debt is not an issue.

Tell her charge it to the game

Any number would be too high. I was hoping she could pay off mine.

Hypothetically speaking:
Credit card debt? It depends on the circumstances surrounding it, but I would balk at more than 5-10k.
Student debt? Depends greatly on her career path. 200k and she's a physician? Who cares? 200k and she's a Russian Literature major, frick that. I guess I would be "okay" with student debt equal to about ~1 year of estimated income.
Vehicle debt? I don't really care as long as she can afford the payment.
