Mothing beats the houses off of highland around christmas. We are driving through and dudes were having a dick measuring contest with christmas inflatables.

At first...8 feet. Then 15. Then a 22 ft snowman. Literally the height of the house.

....and then... The house at the end of the street... Theirs had to be put in the back yard. A giant hulking figure of santa Claus looming over the top of a 3 story home.

The worst offender is in my neighborhood. After Halloween they put Santa costumes on the skeletons (obviously skeletons should celebrate the birth of Christ, eh), and after Christmas they morph into Mardi Gras themes with giant beads, etc. That garish crap stays up from September until March.

Where do you store it and how many cubic yards of storage space does it consume?

I see so many of them on my delivery routes now that they're losing their luster. What I see is people leaving them up and decorating them for different holidays i.e Mardi Gras, Christmas etc. Best way to "store" them I suppose.

Everything now a days is geared towards the middle class mostly because they make stupid financial decisions on things more for show than practicability:

Trucks
Suped up golf carts/buggys
Bass boats
Sporting events
Gawdy holiday/yard decor

Bingo. They have no place to put them. That’s why some folks leave those tacky things out all year round and decorate them every holiday.

This is the kind of neighborhood I want to live in. Always wanted a Tim Taylor / Doc Johnson decoration competition with a neighbor for Christmas

Same principle as low income people who smoke. They dont have enough money for expensive vacations nor enough to build a decent investment portfolio, but they have small amounts of disposable income and they blow it on shite like this to give them some temporary pleasure.

There are homes in our neighborhood with multiple giant skeletons and other big decorations. They must have a storage unit for it

Exit i10 at the good end of highland driving back toward LSU.

Turn left into the neighborhoods. I think it was the third or fourth one.

I thought this was a clever use of one, not into the whole Jeep culture thing but thought it was pretty cool and the skeleton ducks on the hood were a nice touch lol.
