The RCMP say they alerted all appropriate authorities, including Mexican airport officials, about Canadian teenager Skylar Murphy, who had been allowed to board a flight to Mexico after surrendering to security a pipe bomb at Edmonton International Airport.
It took four days — until Sept. 24, 2013 — before airport security officials in Edmonton realized they had obtained a pipe bomb, with an attached nearly three-metre long fuse, from the 18-year-old Murphy of Spruce Grove, Alta.
Pipe bomb security failure at Edmonton airport kept quiet
Security screeners had not recognized the device was a pipe bomb and had actually tried to return it to Murphy.
The RCMP said they acted immediately once they were told about the pipe bomb. But the Mounties decided to allow Murphy to finish holidaying with his family in Mexico before arresting him on his return to Edmonton on Sept. 27.

MV Lyubov Orlova (built as Lyubovy Orlova)is a 1976 Yugoslavia-built ice-strengthened Maria Yermolova-class cruise ship.
Once known for Antarctic cruises, the ship made headlines after she was abandoned dockside in St. John's, Newfoundland and then became a floating derelict in the North Atlantic Ocean in 2013.
Lyubov Orlova was named after the Russian film star Lyubov Orlova. The ship was built for the Far East Shipping Company based in the Soviet Union.
She served as an expedition cruise ship, like her equally unlucky sister MV Clipper Adventurer. Her hull was built to withstand impacts with ice, and she often sailed in Antarctica and the Arctic.
Lyubov Orlova was refurbished in 1999, and chartered by Marine Expeditions for cruises to the Antarctic Peninsula in 2000. She underwent extensive renovations in 2002 and was subsequently chartered by Quark Expeditions for the Antarctic and Cruise North Expeditions for the Arctic.[6]
Also, here is the aforementioned actress:

Died: January 26, 1975 (aged 72)

Often called the Russian Marilyn Monroe

Throw in Tom Hanks falling asleep while towing a giant rat boat out to sea and this has all the makings of Castaway 2.

This sounds a lot like the old time radio story "Three Skeleton Key" starring Vincent Price. LINK It's about a ship full of mutant rats that attack a lighthouse after the ship crashes into the rocky coastline.
