Mutt, kind of looked like a lab and pointer mix.

That is fricked up. I have a Pomeranian, and one of my fears is something like this happening.

I’d imagine if you avoid doing something like walking them on a wooded trail through a Florida marsh you’ll be fine.

That's like getting shite on by a bird tbh. It doesnt happen that often but it's not uncommon either.

I almost had that happen to my dog when I was out hiking. She jumped into the marsh, and I saw eyes moving. I believe the yelling and running at the marsh scared the obviously younger/smaller gator and he backed the frick off. Probably for the best, no idea if I could legally shoot a handgun at an alligator on state land.

I only just met her, but she really was a sweet pup. I gave her head scratches right before we went to the beach/uncle went to walk them. Big smile on her cute face. frick.

Sorry to hear that. Mrs 45 and I are currently stationed in Central Florida. Walk my dog all the time, often off the leash. And I treat every freshwater site as a potential habitat for a gator. Have to keep your eye out at all times.

They may not count it there. If it was in NY or Louisiana though, it'd definitely be one.

The Gator probably gave Millie head scratches too.

I doubt Millie was smiling though.
